If we sin wilfully...

He is our guide, our comforter, our counselor. May we give ourselves more to Him. "I have taken your word into my heart, that I may not sin against you. (Psalm 119:11) God is Good in all that He does, He is wisdom. He is also a support and a help in times of trouble.

If there is a time when we need to hear His Word, it is in this time of confusion. God wants us to be more careful in our walk. Our adversary is clever and cunning. May God give us wisdom to see the devil's plans. "And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20) He is never far away to watch over us. "If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) We must be sure and certain that God is with us! The end of all things is coming, terror and anguish are spreading in this world because they do not know what the next day will be.

Matthew 27:1-10

This is not a story, but what the witnesses were able to transcribe from what they saw.

Luke 1:1-3

They were witnesses, they took part in these things and reported them to us. The Holy Spirit saw to it that the picture was given to us. The human mind, when it reports the thing, it transforms. But here, the Holy Spirit has seen to it that what is written is as true as possible to reality. It has been reported to us so that we can also take part in it. We have to trust in what has been written and announced. In Matthew, the apostle refers to the Holy Scriptures, to what Jeremiah said. "For I watch over my word, to do it. (Jeremiah 1:12) We are called to believe the Word. We do not walk in our thoughts. "And my righteous shall live by faith" (Hebrews 10:38) Faith in the Word of God. If God has said it, even if I don't understand it, I believe it and obey. When you believe this, God manifests His Word because you see it come to pass. Every Word that God has spoken in the Bible, it will come to pass. Stop arguing about the Word of God. When God says A then it is A.

We are talking about people who were in Israel, which is the land that God had chosen. When God places you somewhere, it means that place is good for you. When God leads you, you can never go astray because He is the Light and the Way. Why should I stray from Him? This path leads me to happiness. "Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap, nor do they gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?" (Matthew 6:26) Do not look for a small way, for there is a Way. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11: 28) Look to yourself: your change is not from a man but from God. How did God have to do this in my life? Only through His Word. When I heard his Word, I saw the change in my life. The Bible is our absolute. "All things are possible to him who believes. (Mark 9:23) We have seen the hand of God in our lives.

Proverbs 8:1-20

God grants us a tremendous wealth: His Word. It is the only book where the truth is spoken from the beginning to the end, there is not the slightest error. Many have reported different things but they all said the same thing without contradicting each other. All the prophets pointed in the same direction. The Bible is our absolute. "On the contrary, let God be known as true, and every man as a liar" (Romans 3:4)

These men in Matthew 27 were chief priests, they knew the Word. They were descendants of the family of Levi. We can't play games. When you pay attention to your thoughts, you are playing with your destination. When Jesus came to establish His sacrifice then it became different. When you have a service for God, never think you are more important than God. What made this powerful archangel fall and become a demon is just pride. Satan is so cunning, he will always try to touch your "self", your pride. For you to accept the things of God, it takes something special. The Word is spiritual, but you are carnal, so there is a struggle. Preaching is very important for the sons of God, that's why you need men sent by God. Some preachers kill souls. Most often we lean towards what the demons say. Satan talks to your "self" and it always works. When Abel made the offering to God, it could not please the men on earth. No one could take pleasure in it. What would you have accepted? What sacrifice? You always like what is pleasing. You think you are serving God but you are serving 100% the devil. When the Word comes, you reject it. Satan works in your mind, in your imagination.

These Levite men were supposed to be giving the people what God wanted. "You forsake the commandment of God, and keep the tradition of men. (Mark 7:8) When you put the Word aside, Satan becomes the leader. "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105) When you take away the light, it is over. When God chooses a man for service, He blocks the carnal thought from him, otherwise how could a man say "The virgin will conceive!" This is folly. If the prophets had the human mind then they would never have said that. When it is "Thus says the Lord" then it is God speaking.

When you are in God's plan, you do not force yourself but your desire is to do God's will, to put the Word into practice. When you put aside the Word then confusion comes. God never brings confusion. The Levites were destined to serve God. But when this God was on earth in human form, they did not recognize him. When someone is of God, he is of God. You may not like him, you may hate him, but deep inside you recognize that he is of God. "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher from God" (John 3:2) Our Lord is so gentle and good, but we cannot do what we want. When the priests ordered Jesus to be arrested, all to prevent Him from preaching, those men heard Him and went away without Him. "Never has a man spoken like this man. (John 7:46) It was God Himself. They should have trembled inside.

Facing Lazarus, there has never been a prophet who stood before a rotten body and brought it back to life. They considered Jesus a prophet but He was the God of prophets. We see a son of God in humility. Jesus humbled Himself but you, my brother, my sister? "Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? (John 11:40) Martha even added, "Lord, he already stinks, for he has been here four days." (John 11:39) There was no hope left. But this Jesus wanted to prove that He was the Creator of all things. He demonstrated it before everyone. He just spoke. "For he says, and it happens; he commands, and it exists. (Psalm 33:9) Everything was restored in Lazarus. Lazarus came out. All these people could understand that this Jesus was different from the others. They sought to kill him. "What evil has he done? (Mark 15:14) A Gentile asking the question. The Word of God is fulfilled in every detail.

Matthew 27:2-5

The money went to the chief priests. Judas regretted the act he had done. When a man acknowledges that he has sinned and repents, then God forgives. You think you know God but you don't know Him yet. You always come to the House of God, the Word is always brought to you. Watch yourself! How do you react to the Word that is preached to you? How do I react? Judas, from the beginning, was always with the Lord. He saw and he heard. Even when all the disciples left, he stayed!

Hebrews 10:19-27

We must have a sincere heart, otherwise Satan sees that you are double-minded and he comes. When you have impure thoughts deep in your heart then Satan uses that. We have to look out for each other. We talk with our lips but the heart is far away. We have the doctorates to complain.

Judas was always there, listening. You hear a preaching that doesn't make you feel better so you don't come anymore. Remember how God brought you to this place. What is the purpose of our gathering? It will help you stop complaining about each other. The other is not your salvation but you come to this place for your salvation.

Judas was there, it was not a preacher who spoke but God Himself. He heard but he did not feel anything. When we reach formalism and habits, we no longer feel the supernatural. You become carnal. You are far from the Word of God. "I will hold your word in my heart, that I may not sin against you." (Psalm 119:11) I don't look to one or the other, but I look to my life. The end of all things is near. When you sit here, hear the Word, go out and do not obey then there is no more sacrifice possible.

1 Samuel 15:10-23

You always want to conform to sinners. "Do not be conformed to this world" (Romans 12:2). Do not seek to please men but God. Why always copy the world? "How long will you stumble on both sides? (1 Kings 18:21) Judgment is near. What awaits us is more glorious than what is in this world. "May you be cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:15-16)

Judas listened to the preaching, Judas saw what Jesus was doing. Saul wanted to show Samuel that he knew more than he did, even though God had given Samuel the Word. Saul was trying to justify his action. When you think you are greater, you are going down into the grave yourself. When God speaks, He speaks clearly, He needs no interpretation. "How will the young man make his path pure? By following your word." (Psalm 119:9) You don't realize how the devil works! You really need to watch over your children. When you see that your child is beginning to resist the Word, you must not let go. If you don't do anything, Satan will put his roots deep down. We have a responsibility to our children. "I and my house will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15) The devil is targeting your posterity. We have a duty to educate them according to the Scriptures.

Hebrews 6:4-6

Matthew 26:20-24 / John 19:6-11 / Matthew 26:6-16

Judas repented and brought back the coins. Sometimes we do something that we don't understand the impact it will have. Judas was with the disciples but he always had one foot out the door. On his own, he went to the priests and asked for a reward. When the disciples were whipped for the gospel, as soon as they came out, they went to their own. We have real brothers and sisters, we need fellowship. Even if they insult you, they talk about you, it is to cut you. Do not pay attention to that, look for your brothers and sisters. When you are not of God, you go looking for all the faults and you don't see the work that God is doing. It was the same thing with Judas. You resist the Word of God, but Satan is already working in you.

Hebrews 12:1-17

When you do not conform to the world, you will always be despised. We must resist sin. If God rebukes you today, do not lose heart because He loves you. When you are a son of God, God will not leave you. God expects us to be submissive to the Word. God's Grace enables you to put the life of Christ into practice and live in holiness. "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts" (Hebrews 3:15) When we open our hearts, God can work in us. When you want the world's praise, you sell your birthright. We are to be like Christ so let's be holy. We must not bring the world into the church but the world is outside. When God speaks to you, do not resist because when you want to repent for it, God will have already erased you from the list.

Hebrews 10:26-30

It is important not to trample the blood of the covenant underfoot. If it is God who is good, then make your choice. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37) When you love God like that, where would the world fit in? "And this is the second, which is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." (Matthew 22:39)
