Isaiah 9 v 6: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
God does great things in simplicity. A child is the simplest thing, trivial, strengthless. But this child is so special. He is different, He is not a toddler like others. When they brought that baby into the temple to be presented, when Simon took Him into his hands, something special happened. Simon understood it. Whereas everyone was awaiting God in His full power, He came on earth through the simplest form. People did not pay attention to Him.
In Psalms 8 and Hebrews 2 v 5-9, it is about God Himself.
All the people that love God do have the desire to see Him face to face. God wants us to be sure about our faith. He said you worship what you know not. All the ones who served Him in past times wanted to see Him. But only Jesus saw God. Jesus is the reflect of His glory and the imprint of His person. If you want to see God, look at Jesus. Jesus is the image of this invisible God. That invisible God became visible to men.
Mary gave birth to a baby. She could only give birth to a baby. He was like everyone: He suffered hunger, thirst, He cried. He was a human being. When Lazarus died, Jesus cried. But afterwards, He showed up His full power by resurrecting him from the dead. A thing impossible to men. Humanly speaking, we cannot understand the things of God, we have to enter into another dimension.
Hebrews 1 v 4-6: “ Having become by so much better than the angels, as He hath inherited a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Though art my Son, this day I begotten thee? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to me a Son? And when again He bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, and let all the angels of God worship Him. ”
There is no name that is more excellent than the beautiful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There is no other name that had been given to us through which we can be saved. Angels were created by God but Jesus was engendered by God. All the angels of God must adore this Jesus. Here it is about Jesus Christ, man.
1 Timothy 3 v 16: “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, received up in glory.”
We know there is only one God. We can only worship God alone. Thus, if the Bible tells us to adore that man, this means that this Jesus was God Himself under a human form. The man should remain man and God remain God. But God allowed the man to become God. Satan himself got troubled when in contact with Jesus. By appearance, he was seeing a man. But inside there was this holiness. No man could have ever been that holy. Satan never found a guilt in Him. God made that man that was walking on earth, the most powerful one. Even heathens could not reproach Him anything, Pilate himself testified so.
Why did that man became God on earth? God wanted to show that a man, 100% man could become God. If Jesus never became a man, we would have never become children of God. God opened the way so we become gods. The way was closed but Jesus opened it. Jesus rose from earth to heaven to open the way.
Why should you be afraid? Jesus conquered everything. If God conquered everything, what shall we be afraid of? We have victory through Jesus Christ (Romans 8 v 28-37). If God made you a son of God, then you are this God. You have dominion upon everything and in all circumstances. When God created Adam, He gave him dominion over everything.
There is no better thing than to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and be close to Him.
