If the Lord did not lead us, where would we be today? "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:5-6) We must walk this path to be in the right direction. Let us not be on a path that we think is good and in the end be lost. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. (Romans 8:14) Let us be obedient to the Word of God.
When Peter came to Cornelius' house, the religious people said that it was not right to go to the Gentiles. But Peter said, "Could I oppose God? (Acts 11:17) We must submit to the Will of God to act according to God's plan.
Acts 11:1
They received the Word of God at Cornelius' house. Cornelius had prayed to God and an angel appeared to him, "Cornelius, your prayer has been answered, and God has remembered your alms. (Acts 10:31) It is a Grace that God can send His angel to a person and God remembered what Cornelius had done. Cornelius did the thing with consideration. Yet he was not of that people. So you can understand what Peter said to Cornelius.
Acts 10:25-35
God had convinced Peter. He had lived with Jesus, but he had not understood. But now we enter a new dimension. Jesus is the answer, the solution of God to men.
Cornelius prayed to foreign gods who did not answer, but now that he turned to the God of Abraham, he saw an angel come to him. What grace! At the same time, Peter receives the vision.
Cornelius was giving alms to God. Every thing you do for God, God takes into account. God asks us to proclaim the good news of the kingdom, not of the earth. This is from God. Let us pray to God that we will be mouths through which God speaks. "This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. (Matthew 15:8) God wants us to feel the weight of everything we do. May God rekindle the flame in each of us. We are making the history of Laodicea, a particular people in this particular time.
"Now therefore we are all before God, to hear all things that the Lord hath commanded thee to speak unto us." (Acts 10:33) Not what Peter wants to say but what God has given. We don't need Bible school, just the presence of God. We need to be led by the Spirit of God. Men who are led by God are special. An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Get up and go south to the road that leads down from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is deserted. And he arose and went. (Acts 8:26-27) God works with instruments that He has in His hand. God has His way with His servants. Philip obeyed. He goes and arrives in front of a chariot. But there was this Ethiopian eunuch who was bothered.
Cornelius did everything with all his heart, but he was not a Jew, that is, not a son of Abraham. But here Peter recognized that God does not discriminate between people.
Acts 11:1-18 / Acts 15:5-8
Peter was an instrument. On the roof, the voice came "kill and eat". God is just. Repentance is something that God has granted us. Even if you sink to the bottom, God does not want you to stay in that state, you must recognize your state and repent. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. (Romans 8:14) God cannot lead you out of God's plan to fulfill God's Will. If you are in the wrong direction, God will not lead in that direction, so repent. "And when he has come, he will convict the world of sin" (John 16:8) I repent and the Holy Spirit can resume His work. "Know that in the last days there will be hard times." (2 Timothy 3:1) We are in that time. The Word of God is truth. Do not grow weary of listening, reading the Word, praying, it is for your own good. "They continued in the apostles' teaching, in the fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers. (Acts 2:42) When we have the Word of truth, It does its work and It leads us to unity. "That they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17:21) It is this Word that leads us to the love of God. May God help us to remain in the Word, in the mind of God. The Word is a seed, but if in this seed there is no life, it is useless. It is God who gives life to the Word of God. "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to children. (Matthew 11:25) Revelation is stimulation. Revelation is the mind of God. We have the Word but we need that which gives life to the Word: His Spirit. You have to be willing like that. When you are willing, then love comes out.
Luke 21:25-28
The Lord describes to us what the attitude of the people will be. But here we are, we feel the terror outside. Men are in anguish, in fear. Men will put pressure, never sell your birthright. Always remember who you are.
The earth is shaking, the world is shaken. Your God is coming to destroy everything. You should not fear a man but fear God! When you see trouble, when it becomes more difficult, be happy because your God is coming. He who comes is the One who saved you and who keeps you. Fear is the devil's instrument.
Job was rich, he had possessions. Satan thought that Job had his heart in his things. "I came forth naked from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return to the bosom of the earth." (Job 1:21) Job clung to God. A son of God does not walk in fear. A son of God always trusts. We must be true Christians to the point of giving our lives. "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses it for my sake will find it." (Matthew 16:25)
Matthew 24:6
The Lord wants us to be at peace. It is a difficult time but it is a glorious time for you. "He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. (Psalm 112:7) When you are with this Jesus of the Bible, you are going to be hated. Be armed with the mind of God to overcome the trial. "You will have tribulation in the world; but take heart, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) You have to be certain that you are received this Jesus because when the pressure comes, you will succumb. You must have perseverance.
We have a God who watches over us, don't be afraid but stand firm in faith and He will act. "And my righteous shall live by faith" (Hebrews 10:38).
